Born Mar. 1, 1954 in Bamberg, S.C. Mrs. Hundley was the wife of James B. ''Jimmy'' Hundley of Loris, and the daughter of Linell Emory Ayer and Christobel Still Ayer of Ehrhardt. Mrs. Hundley worked as a medical transcriptionist for many years at Loris Community Hospital. She was a very active member of the Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church where she served in many capacities, including Sunday School teacher, music director, and assistant organist. She also served her community by volunteering her time and talents as a very active member with numerous civic organizations.
Survivors including her parents and husband are one son, James Brent Hundley, U.S. Navy of Norfolk, Va.; one daughter, Angela H. Cribb and her husband, Matt, of Loris; one brother, Larry W. Ayer and his wife, Debbie, of Lexington; three sisters, Barbra A. Wright of Ehrhardt, Janet A. Horne and her husband, Rex, of Frisco, Texas, and Cheryl A. Rentz of Hampton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The Rev. Rocky Gregory and Dr. Mike Watford will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday evening, Jan. 7, 2006 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Hardwick Funeral Home.
