Patrick Hawkins, Retired Farmer of Waldorf, Dies
Patrick Hawkins, a resident of Waldorf, Minnesota, died at Lakeview Memorial Hospital late Monday evening after a brief illness. Mr. Hawkins had been confined to the hospital for the past 17 days. He had been visiting here in Stillwater with his son, James and daughter, Mrs. C. Callahan.
Mr. Hawkins was born on January 1, 1872, in Goodhue County, where he grew to manhood and lived his entire life in that vicinity. He operated a farm near Waldorf for many years and the year of 1937 moved to the village of Waldorf where he had since resided.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Adams (Mayme Hawkins); two sons, James Hawkins of Stillwater and Joseph C. Hawkins of Owatonna, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. Cecil Callahan of Stillwater and Mrs. Chris Abrahamson of Mapleton and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 18, at 9:30 a.m. at the home in Waldorf and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church about two miles from Waldorf. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Bayport. Rev. Henry Russell, pastor, officiated. Casket bearers: Robert Adams of St. Paul; Marty Conroy, Leo Hawkins, Leon Munsch, and Ray and Harold Adams of Waldorf.
