Esther L. Emmert LaFara 74, Indianapolis, passed away April 29, 2004. Esther was born November 2, 1929 to Rev. Arvil and Denzel Conrad Emmert at Fort Wayne. She married Victor R. LaFara Sr. December 17, 1948 at Indianapolis who survives. She had been employed by Blue CrossBlue Shield 18 years retiring as a Departmental Supervisor. Previous employment had been at Best Lock 20 years as a Production Manager Secretary. She was a member of Southport Church of the Nazarene to which memorial gifts have been suggested. Services 10:30 am, Monday, May 3 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, with calling 2:00 to 6:00 pm, Sunday, May 2. Entombment Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Other survivors include her son Victor R. LaFara Jr., Indianapolis; granddaughter Danielle Simmons; brother Lloyd Emmert, Covina, Ca. Esther was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Dwight and Dale Emmert.
