Paul Ray Brooks, age 63, passed away Monday, February 26, 2007 at the United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley, WA. He was born August 6, 1943 in Gid, Arkansas, the son of Thomas and M.E. Ray Brooks.

He was married to Mary Wegener on April 4, 1963 in Redmond, WA and they resided in Kirkland, WA for 39 years until moving to Mount Vernon 5 years ago. Paul worked for Willamette Industries for 8 years as a fork lift operator.
He was a member of the Eagles in Kirkland and attended the United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. Paul enjoyed repairing old computers and woodworking and he was known for always willing to help people.

He is survived by:

-- His wife Mary Brooks of Mount Vernon.
-- His son, Terry Brooks and his wife Nicole of Monroe and his daughter, Sherri Cameron and her husband Scott of Woodinville.
-- 3 grandchildren, Rachel Foslien, Crystal Cameron, and Elicia Kohlhepp.
-- A brother, Jerry Brooks and his wife Ruthie of Mount Vernon and 5 sisters, Montine Ragan of Atoka, OK, Dorothy Clayton and her husband Denney of Strawberry, AR, Sharon Hull and her husband Rick of Snohomish, Oda Fay Holbrook and her husband Larry of Blytheville, AR, and Frankie Johnson and her husband Cary of Everett.
-- Numerous nieces and nephews.

An Inurnment Service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 2:30 PM at the Cedar Lawns Memorial Park in Redmond, WA Arrangements under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
