Dies Following
4-Month Illness
Mrs. Oklena Logue Benderman, 59, a resident of 1805 Scribner Avenue, died Tuesday night at the Hillview Haven Nursing Home after an illness of four months. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Oakes & Nichols Chapel with Melvin Dugger officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. A native of Maury County she is the daughter of Joseph J. Logue and the late Mrs. Virginia Nelson Lindsey Logue. She was married to Guy Fleming Benderman who died March 28, 1964. She was a member of the Highland Avenue Church of Christ. In adition to her father survivors include four sons, Guy Fleming Benderman, Jr. of Decatur, Fred M. Benderman of Martin, Jerry Logue Benderman of Columbia and Randal P. Benderman of Knoxville; six sisters, Mrs. Charlie (Kate) Wood of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Harry E. (Wilma) Williams of Massapequa Park, N. Y., Mrs. Anderson (Reba) Lovell, Mrs. Leonard (Josephine) Troope, Mrs. Eugene (Rena) Erwin and Miss Ethlene Logue all of Columbia; three brothers, J. Elmer Logue and Ernest Hagle Logue both of Columbia and Charles Herman Logue of Benton, Ky.; and 12 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be nephews.
