Son of Samuel S. Kaysbier (1829-1892) and Hannah J. Whitaker (1836-1899). Married Lillie A. Van Vorce Jan 4, 1892 in Colorado. Worked for railroad all his life: 1880 engineer, 1900 switchman, 1910 Yard Master at RR Shops, 1920 switchman. (Haven't found them in 1930 census.) He and Lillie adopted a son, named him Fred L. Kaysbier, Jr.. In 1900 they had a mortgage; by 1910 owned home free and clear.
