"David Nelson was a nephew of Capt. David Craig. One of his daughters married a Jennings. Their children were member of the church at Mt.Joy. A son, John, married Iby King. From the church roll many of the Nelson's went to Texas to live. David Nelson died October 5, 1851 and was buried at Hunter Cemetery. David was one of the founders of the Mt. Joy Church."
Sallie Nelson was the 2nd wife of David Nelson and she is buried at Latta Cemetery, Santa Fe, Maury Co., Tn.
