A native and life long resident of Walton County, she was the daughter of the late George W. Head and Minnie White Head. The widow of Robert Herbert Brown, she was retired from the Walton-Monroe Mill and was a member of the St. Stephen United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 19, in the Chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Queen officiating. Interment was held in Hill Haven Memory Gardens.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby Brown of Leesburg and Dwight Brown of Kingsport, Tenn.; sister, Carol H. Armstrong of Monroe; brother, Floyd Head of Tucker; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Arthur Bowick Inc. Funeral Directors was in charge of the arrangements.
