SUFFOLK - Eula Babb Smith, 83, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and member of Bethlehem Christian Church.
A self-employed merchant, she was an owner of Smith's Poultry Market.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Gertrude Lewis of Chesapeake; two sons, Lemuel A. Morton of Suffolk and Edward L. Morton of Portsmouth; one sister, Irene Nelms of Suffolk; one brother, Vernon Babb also of Suffolk; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Willis Dowling and R.E. Brittle. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of each son.
