GALL, Theodore A. Sr., 91, of Marion, died Saturday, November 8, 1997, at Francis Marion Manor Nursing Home in Marion. Mr. Gall was a pioneer in organic soil restoration based on his belief that the Bible is the greatest authority on soil sustenance and restoration. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Heckman Gall; a son, Theodore Albert Gall Jr.; a daughter, Ella Mae Gall, and a grandson, Timothy Scott Gall. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 1997, at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Burial will follow at a later date in Lakewood Memorial Garden in Dorseyville, Pa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Smyth-Bland Regional Library, 118 South Sheffey Street, Marion, Va. 24354, or to the Smyth County Adult Literacy Enrichment (SCALE) Program, 118 South Sheffey Street, Marion, Va. 24354. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 Sunday evening at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is serving the family.
