Services for Eula Mona (Blair) Johnson, 88, Mill Creek, were held Tuesday, 
March 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Sulphur with Rev. Eddie Malphrus officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with Cowley-
Krien Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born January 2, 1916 in Elk City to Ella (Ridenour) Blair and Allen C. Blair, Mrs. Johnson died Friday, March 12 at her Mill Creek home. She married Ellery Johnson on June 10, 1934 in Pauls Valley. He preceded her in death on November 8, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Lawrence, Albert and Clarence Blair; five 
sisters, Carrie Stites, Ruby McClure, Edith Blair and Lillie and Dolly 
Blair.

Mrs. Johnson's family moved to Sulphur in 1922 so her sister, Eva, could 
attend Oklahoma School for the Deaf. After graduating from high school, she married Ellery Johnson and the couple moved to the family farm soon after. They operated a dairy, raised beef cattle and horses on the farm 
until moving three miles west of the original farm in 1999. She has been a 
member of the First Baptist Church since 1928. In 1968, she was employed by the Oklahoma School for the Deaf as a house mother and later served as a nationally certified interpreter for the deaf. After her retirement, she continued to interpret for the deaf in legal, medical and professional 
settings. She was a Rainbow Girl, Rebecca, devoted wife of 68 years and a loving mother who lived in Sulphur most of her life.

Surviving are four daughters, Melissa K. Brown and husband, Roy, West Yellowstone, Mont., Ella M. McDonald, Oklahoma City, Jan Foreman and 
husband, Keith, Sulphur and Jeannette Ross and husband, Dean, Reagan; 
three grandsons, Ellery N. Brown and wife, Vickie and children, Vallery, Evan, and Kaylee, Edmond, Kevin M. Brown and wife, Pam, and children Keil 
and Jaclyn, Edmond, Shawn Milligan and children, McKenzie and David, Oklahoma City; three granddaughters, Martha Martin and husband, Tony, and 
children, Drew and Cole, Purcell, Dena Bradley and husband, Robert, and 
children, Taylor and Brock, Reagan, Jana Cline and husband, Clay and 
Claylan, Norman; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Eva Smith, Glendale, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were John Bulman, James Gist, David Pitmon, Danny Hilliard, 
Clyde Runyan and Billy Slaughter.

Honorary bearers were grandsons and great-grandsons, Ellery Brown, Kevin Brown, Shawn Milligan, Evan Brown, Keil Brown, David Milligan, Cole Martin and Drew Martin.
Services for Eula Mona (Blair) Johnson, 88, Mill Creek, were held Tuesday,
