MURDO — Funeral services for
Mrs. Kruse Iverson, 69, were held
at the Methodist church on August
9 with the Rev. Walter Nelson
officiating. Burial was made In the
Murdo cemetery with the Sorenson
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Iversen was born in Indiana
on Dec, 12,1889 and came to Jones
county In 1908, She was married
to Kruse Iversen at Chamberlain on
July 15, J909.
The couple lived and ranched
northeast of Murdo for many years
until Mr. Iversen's death in December
of 1941, Mrs. Iverson remained
otn the ranch until 1950
when she moved to New Underwood
to make her home with her
daughter.
Mrs. Iverson had attended Northem
State Teachers College and
Black Hills Teachers College and
taught school In Central South Dakota
for nearly 20 years and in a
private school in Los Angeles one
year.
A few months ago, she moved to
Rapid City to live with her daughter.
Mrs. Marvin Penticoff.
Survivors include her daughter
and fiye grandchildren and one
brother, Clyde Atkinson of Quincy,
Wash.
