CULLMAN — Ann R. ‘Mama C.' Coggin

Ann R. "Mama C" Coggin, 81, of Gardendale, passed away on Sunday May 27, 2012. She was a faithful, loving wife and adoring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a compassionate minister's wife with over 50 years of faithful service.

Mama C is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Richard C. Coggin; sons, Rick (Rosemary) Coggin, Dwight (Candice) Coggin and Barry (Kay) Coggin; daughter, Richann (Keith) Clay; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jule (Carol) Robbe; a sister, Mary (Jack) Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration service will be held at 11 a.m Thursday May 31, at the South Campus of Gardendale's First Baptist Church, Drs. Brett Robbe, Kevin Hamm, and Edwin Hayes officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday May 30, at the South Campus of Gardendale's First Baptist Church. She will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Arrangements are by Walker Chapel Funeral Home, 205-849-5000.
