Virginia J. Genzman, 97, of Port Clinton, OH, formerly of Oak Harbor, OH, died Monday, May 28, 2012, at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. She was born on May 21, 1915 in Ludlow, KY to the late Arvel & Edith (Cooper) Allensworth.
She was also preceded in death by her husband on November 17, 1979, Wilbur Genzman, whom she married on May 31, 1935.
She was an active member of Gypsum Community Church, Gypsum, OH and was a past Cub Scout Den Mother and Girl Scout leader. She retired from GTE in 1980.
She is survived by
her sons, Allen Genzman, Oak Harbor, OH and Dennis Genzman, Tucson, AZ;
8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren;
a half-sister, Betty Brengelman, Wayne, PA;
nieces and nephews.
Funeral service at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Interment in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
