Mrs. Floy Bartlett Dies at 69
Wife of Businessman Had Severe Heart Attack a Year Ago This Month.
Mrs. Floy Viola Bartlett, 69, wife of Ralph S. Bartlett, real estate and insurance man, died at 4:15 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the family home, 925 Walnut Street. Mrs. Bartlett had been in failing health the last nine years. She suffered a severe heart attack in February of 1959.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church. The Rev. Don Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The remains will lie in state at the Norman Funeral Home until noon Tuesday, when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the hour of the funeral.
Mrs. Bartlett was born March 7, 1890, in Moravia, Ia., a daughter of Thomas J. and Ethel (Vosburch) Albertson. She came to Missouri with her parents at the age of 2 and resided in Sullivan County near Green City. She attended school there.
On Aug. 10, 1910, she was married to Mr. Bartlett at Green City. Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett moved to Chillicothe in 1923. She was a member of the Methodist church.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bartlett leaves three sons, Edward I. Bartlett, Atchison, Kan.; James A. Bartlett, Kansas City, and Wayne L. Bartlett, Arkansas City, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Viola F. Pepper, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Marietta Commack, Fenton, a brother, Wayne Albertson, Reno, Nev. and a sister, Mrs. Lois Terry, Green City. There are 13 grandchildren.
