Willie B. Akin, 68 died 18 Jan [1961] at his home near Greensburg. He had been in ill health for some time. He was a retired farmer, and member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eva Sharp Akin; a son Broadus Akin, Green Co; 2 brothers, Lonnie Akin, Louisville, Arvie Akin, Greensburg; a sister, Mrs. Laura Marcum, Rt. 1, Greensburg; and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services were held 29 Jan at Beech Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Borich, Rev. V.A. Jones and Dr. Paul Horner officiating. Pallbearers were Joe T. Hodges, Ogle Pierce, William McFarland, Frank Altman, Junior Gorin and Clay Wade.
