Wife of Former
Sheriff, Dies
Mrs. Ella Berg, 51, the wife of the
late Sheriff William A. Berg, died at
her home, 560 Grant street, at 10:20
o'clock last evening following a lin-
gering illness.
Funeral arrangements had not
been completed today, but will be an-
nounced by Krohn and Berard to-
morrow.
Mrs. Berg was born at Milwaukee
on September 14, 1880, the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Kobza sr.
She came to central Wisconsin with
her parents in 1881 and had been a
resident of the community ever since
that time. She was married to Wil-
liam A. Berg on January 25, 1904
and was preceded in death by her
husband, who was fatally injured in
an automobile accident little more
than a year ago near Nelsonville,
Wis.
She is survived by her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Anton Kobza sr., this
city; four sons, Robert, Arthur, Wal-
ter and Leonard, all of this city; two
daughters, Mrs. Bertha Johnson and
Caroline, this city; two brothers,
John and Anton Kobza jr., both of
this city; five sisters, Mrs. Harry
Konkol, Mrs. Steve Levendoski, Mrs.
Frank Morzewski, Rose and An-
toinette Kobza, all of this city, and
two grandchildren.

Berg Funeral to be
Conducted Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. William
A. Berg, who died at her home here
Tuesday evening following a linger-
ing illness will be held Saturday.
Private services for members of the
family will be conducted at the Berg
home at eleven o'clock and public
services will be held at the Krohn
and Berard funeral home at two
o'clock in the afternoon.
The Rev. Roy Grams will officiate
and interment will be made in For-
est Hill cemetery.
