Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Wilson Funeral Home in Ava for Noah Ralston, 91, who died Friday.

The Rev. Glenn Bow/by will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Ralston died Friday in the Tyler Nursing Home in Murphysboro, after a long illness.

He was born in Ava Aug. 16, 1879, the son of William and Jane Stout Ralston. He was married in Chester in 1913 to Sarah Creason, who died Feb. 21, 1966.

Mr. Ralston was a retired farmer.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include stepsons, Jack Ledbetter of East St. Louis and Cline Cresson of Chester; stepdaughters, Mrs. Lucille Williams of Ava, Mrs. Josie Sikes of Lafayette, Ind., and Mrs. Bluebelle Schimpf of Gorham; 34 step-grandchildren; and a brother, Luke Ralston of Rockwood.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
