Mrs. Anna Agle, 86, Had Been Seriously Ill Only One Week

Mrs. Anna S. Agle of 340 East King st. died Wednesday, May 30 at 5:15 p.m. at her home, following a week's serious illness. Mrs. Agle would have been 87 years old in September and death was attributed to the infirmities of age.

The daughter of the late Henry and Amanda Noel Kane, Mrs. Agle was born Sept. 12, 1864 in Amberson Valley, but had lived in and around Shippensburg since she was 12 years old. She had occupied her present home for the past 54 years.

Her husband, the late Samuel A. Agle, was a coach-blacksmith by trade and worked for the Thrush and Stough carriage factory for years. He died 40 years ago.

Mrs. Agle was a member of the Church of God.

She is survived by four children, all of Shippensburg. They include Donald Agle, with whom she made her home, employed at Letterkenny; Mrs. Edith Allison of East Orange st.; Lester Agle of South Queen st. former councilman and a Peerless employee, and Floyd Agle of South Prince st., an employee of Valley Baking Company. Other survivors are one grandson and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday from the M. Garfield Barbour funeral home with the Rev. M.C. Manning officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening.
