SAVANNAH, Ga. — Mr. Ricky Allen Ellis, age 44, passed away on Friday, May 18th, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah after a short illness. He was a native of Bulloch County and was residing in Savannah, Ga. He was a member of Hodges Grove Baptist Church and a 1987 graduate of Statesboro High School. He was a former employee of GSU-Landrum Center.

He is survived by his parents, Dea. and Mrs. Willie and Mattie Sue Herrington, Statesboro; three sisters, Zena Polk, Statesboro, Angie Bolds, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Cynthia Williams, Tampa, Fla.; four brothers, Steven Ellis, Statesboro, Willie E. (Tanesha) Ellis, Claxton, Samuel Herrington, Travis (April) Herrington and Leroy Polk, all of Statesboro, and Robert Polk Jr., Atlanta; eight aunts, five uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and his care giver, Elizabeth Taylor, Savannah, Ga.

The funeral service for Mr. Ellis will be held on Saturday, May 26th, at 2 p.m. at Hodges Grove Baptist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Dr. John Harmon, officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
