1952 in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Herminio and Efiginia (Ruiz) Morales. Mrs. DeLeon retired from Ralston (Nestle) Purina after 36 years of dedicated service. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church where she had served as a Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed crocheting, doing crafts and loved spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Julio C. DeLeon; her children, Nane (Jeffrey) White and Francine (Richard) Kozlowski, both of Dunkirk; Joey (Danielle) Cordero and Ann Cordero, both of Houston, Texas;
Rebecca (Eddie) Ruiz, of Gerry; stepdaughter Shelly DeLeon of Arkwright; 16 grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers and sisters Edwin (Ruth)
Morales, Iris Zorida (Raul) Ruiz, William (Rosanne) Morales, Elida (Leon) Cowles, and Herman (Fran) Morales; as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Francisco Vega Jr., who died May 1, 2005; and
her nephew, Patrick Morales.
