The son of Edward J. Hunsecker & Vena Thayer. He was born in Kansas and later migrated to Oklahoma becoming a pioneer settler in Broken Arrow. He was a former president of Broken Arrow Savings and Loan, and was owner of Hunsecker's clothing store chain. He founded Hunsecker's, a dry-goods store and one of Broken Arrow's first businesses. At one time, he owned 12 stores in northeastern Oklahoma. He died in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at age 80.
