The headstone for Cynthia McIntosh gives her maiden name as "Beagley." This is a misspelling, her maiden name was Bagley.

Cynthia was the daughter of Levi H. and Abigail (Coombs) Bagley.

In 1860 Cynthia is living in the Smith Household in Old Town, Penobscot Co. Maine. This appears to be a boarding house. Besides the four Smith family members there are 10 lumberman with varying surnames in the household as well as Cynthia Bagley who is listed as a domestic.

In 1870 Cynthia is still working as a domestic servant in Old Town, but in the Emery Household.

On the 14th of December in 1873 she married Alexander G. McIntosh. Alexander was born 1839 in Canada, died 8 April 1897 (Nathan Hale Cemetery Collection)

1880 Cynthia and Alexander are living in Old Town, Maine, he is working in a sawmill and she is at home, raising their 3 year old son Murdie (Murdock A 1877-1937). (Family surname is spelled correctly on the census sheet, but mistranscribed for search as "McIntoch")

Cynthia and Alexander had two more sons, James B 1882-1947 and "Infant Son" with no birth or death dates listed on the Nathan Hale Cemetery Records.
