Margaret Willett, aged 85, of Lake Odessa, peacefully passed into Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday evening, April 2, 2009, with her family at her side. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Velma (Shellenbarger) Apsey; her husband, Carson Willett; daughter, Sharon Bruce; son, Doug King; step-children, Clara and Bill; brother, Fred Apsey; and sister, Vivian Leik. She is survived by her sons, Irving (Cheryl) King and Rick King; daughters, Sheila (Mike) Becker and Betty (Larry) Harder; step-daughter, Judy Sanders; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and sister, Beatrice Mosher. Margaret had lived in Lake Odessa for 33 years, and worked as the head cook for the Lakewood Public Schools for 15 years. She loved putter golf, shuffleboard, and painting. She had been an active member of the Sebewa Church of God for many years. Margaret will be missed by all. Visitation will be held from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Monday, April 6 at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. The funeral service will be held at the Koops Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 7. Private family burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Sebewa Church of God, or the Ionia County Commission on Aging.
