Arthur "Art" Dee Brown III 63, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Saint Joseph, MO hospital. He was born August 4, 1947 in Halls, MO, son of Opal and Arthur Brown Jr. He graduated from DeKalb High School. He served in the United States Navy and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He married Cheryl White on June 26, 1993 and she survives of the home. He worked at Mead Products for 32 years, and retired from the Home Depot. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching football, and was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan. He was also a member of McCarthy Baptist Church. Art was preceded in death by his parents, a Son, Mike Brown, and a Brother, Russell Brown. Survivors include Wife, Cheryl of the home, three sons, Chris Brown and wife Vanessa, Jason Brown and wife Sondra and Derek Roe a daughter, Lisa Roe, five grandchildren, Baylee, Mackinzie, Morgan, Makayla, & Brady, a Brother, Terry Brown and an Aunt, Geraldine Davis all of St. Joseph, MO. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 AM, on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Pastor Aaron Robb officiating; the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
