Wm. O. Curtis Funeral Held at Aurora Friday

Funeral services were held in the Aurora ward chapel Friday for William Orin Curtis, who died at his home December 20. Mr. Curtis was stricken with influenza two weeks previous and complications which resulted caused his death.


Speakers at the services were Wm. Sorensen, Edwin Sorensen and Moroni Lazenby. Musical numbers were furnished by Mrs. J. E. Day and Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Thompson, in addition to selections by the ward choir. C. C. Christensen offered the invocation; the benediction was by Gerald Mason.


Interment was in the Aurora cemetery.


Many beautiful floral offerings were placed on the grave.


Mr. Curtis was born at Aurora February 27, 1895, a son of Ezra and Sarah Ann Curtis, and lived at Aurora all his life. He married Lora Kennedy on January 5, 1916. Mr. Curtis was a well respected citizen and a faithful member of the L. D. S. church, in which he served as a ward teacher, a Sunday school teacher and in other capacities.


Surviving Mr. Curtis are his widow; three children, Roien, Iva and Von W., and the following brothers and sisters: Avery Curtis and Mrs. V Mason of Aurora, Mrs. Alma Murphy and Mrs. Chas. Nordfelt of Salina, Mrs. Orin Ivie of Lynndyl.
