COLLINSTON, LA. Elizabeth Affatato passed away after an extended illness at her residence in Collinston, Louisiana on Sunday, May 27, 2012.
At her request, her body will be cremated and her ashes scattered by the family off the coast of Alaska.
Elizabeth Affatato was born June 21, 1952 in Camden, New Jersey to the late Harvey [should be: Harry] Durham and Adelma Leone Durham. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Bob Jones University.
She and her husband lived and worked in numerous states, including New Jersey and California, before moving to Louisiana. She was a former educator having taught in both New Jersey and Louisina. Her last teaching assignment was at the Pecanland Christian School in Bastrop, Louisiana.
Mrs. Affatato is survived by her husband of 35 years, Paul James Affatato, Jr.; her son, Paul James Affatato, III; her daughter, Elizabeth Adelma Affatato; a brother, Harvey Durham; and two granddaughters, Anastasia Affatato and Lucretzia Affatato.
