David J. Fayard was born in Woolmarket, Harrison County, Mississippi to Alexis Fayard and Martha Ryan, who lived on the Tchoutacabouffa River, south and a little east of the Woolmarket exit on US Interstate Highway No. 10. Martha Aquila Bennett Fayard went on to marry Moses Victor Richards and Mary Martha Fayard Foretich has 1/2 siblings from this union. She was only about 2 years of age when Martha Aquila married Moses Richards and she was raised by him and Martha.(Bobbie Mabry Graue-August 2012)
On April 28 1880, Mary Martha Fayard (1862-1941) married Anthony V. Foretich (1856-1945), the son of John Foretich and Rebecca Wells, at the N.B.V.M. Catholic Church in Biloxi, Mississippi. They were the parents of nine children: Florence Eveline Foretich (1881-1976) m. H.S. Anderson; Blanche Gertrude Foretich (1883-1884); Charles J. Foretich (1885-1966) m. Mae C. McCleland (1894-1979); George Lawrence Foretich (1887-1966) m. Maud Kleyle (1888-1972); Ethel Louisa Foretich (b. 1889); Agnes Foretich (1892-1979); Julius Christopher Charles Foretich (1893-1991) m. Theresa J. Crahan; Mary Annie Foretich (b. 1895); and William Vincent Foretich (1897-1981) m. Doris Hemphill.
Mary Martha F. Foretich died at Conroe, Texas on November 8, 1941. She was visiting Juluis C. Foretich, her son. Her corporal remains were returned to the Bradford Funeral Service for burial in the St. James Catholic Cemetery at Handsboro, Mississippi.
