Mrs. Dorothy A. Baker, 74, Lot 57, Walls Trailer Court, died at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday in Huntington Memorial Hospital, where she was a patient for one week.

A member of the Jackson Street Wesleyan Church, Mrs. Baker was born 27 September 1901 in Huntington to John D. and Minnie Krieg Bowman.

Her first marriage was to Roy Cocklin on 15 November 1919. He died 30 December 1967.

Her second marriage was on 22 June 1974 to John Baker who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. June Raber, Huntington, Mrs. Mark (Mary) Stults, Markle and Mrs. Lester (Betty) Wilson, Fort Wayne; two step-daughters, Mrs. Christina Lindsey, Huntington and Mrs. Albert (Hazel) Uhl, Kokomo; five step-sons, Leander Baker, Big Lake, and William F., Charles, Max and Dorman Baker, all of Huntington; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 31 step-grandchildren; 58 step-great-grandchildren and five step-great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, William Bowman, Huntington, Herbert Bowman, Marion, Clyde Bowman, Muskegon, Mich. and Ermal Bowman, Atlanta, Ga. and a sister, Mrs. Roger (Thelma) Cozad, Fort Wayne.

Two grandchildren and three brothers, Floyd, Russel and Don Bowman preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the Bailey Mortuary after 7 p.m. Tuesday, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, with Rev. William J. Parrett officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Maurice Gard, Michael Stone, Wayne Stults, Thomas Wilson, Steven Baker, Dorman Baker Jr., and Jerry Fusselman.



She was buried beside her first husband.
