OBITUARY :
VIRGINIA BARRETT, 88, of Shanghai, went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 25, 2012 at Homewood of Williamsport, MD.

Born April 4, 1924 in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Puffenburger and Virginia Bell (Luttrell) Puffenburger.

She had worked for Perfection Garment Company and CH Musselman Company.

Mrs. Barrett was a member of Central Chapel Church, where she taught Sunday School for 20 years, and a 4-H Leader for 25 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Hedges, and husband, Tommy, of Jones Spring; and Ruthie Coffinbarger and husband, Bill, of Tomahawk; five grandchildren, Michelle Kenney and husband, Jim, Rick Coffinbarger and wife, Anna, Lynlee Kelly and husband, Brady, Wally Woolum and Holly Coffinbarger; five great-grandchildren, Joe Kenney, Andrew Woolum, Aaron Woolum, Eric Coffinbarger, and Danielle Coffinbarger; two sisters-in-law, Hazel Puffenburger and Hilda Dunham; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland W. "Bill" Barrett; one son, David Barrett; one daughter, Esther Woolum; five brothers, Melvin, Leo, Chester, Joseph and Samuel Puffenburger; and two sisters, Lena Kane and Alberta Hite.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Central Chapel Church at Ganotown with Pastor Greg Alderman and Rev. Jeffrey Shull officiating. Interment will be held at Central Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 28th at Brown Funeral Home's South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood, and also receiving one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Chapel Church Building Fund, 2546 Back Creek Valley Road, Hedgesville, WV 25427.
