PARALYSIS FATALTO CURTIS KOONS, 65
Lifelong County Resident Dies from Stroke
Curtis Koons, age 65, a lifelong resident of Monroe County, died at 6:45 PM Thursday at his home five miles west of Bloomington on the Bloomfield Road following a stroke of paralysis suffered Thursday morning.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William W. Koons and lived in Bloomington until about a year ago when he moved. Funeral arrangements had not been completed Thursday night and will be announced today.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Pearl Koons; five daughters, Mrs. Mabel Crites, Mrs. Floyd Rainbolt, Mrs. Cledith McCoy, Mrs. Belle Gifford and Mrs. Ethel Jones, all of Monroe County; five sons, Wendell, Hubert, Clifford and Dale, all of Monroe County, and Carl of East Chicago; two brothers, James Koons and Sam Koons, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Lannum and Mrs. Lizzie Brown, also of Monroe County.
