George A. Hudson, 80, Lapel, passed away Monday March 10, 2003, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville after a sudden illness.
He was born on June 2, 1922, in Anderson, Indiana to William and Cecil (Little) Hudson.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and he retired in 1986 from Firestone in Noblesville after 19 years of employment. He was a member of Lapel American Legion Post 212.
He is survived three children, Gloria (husband, Ron) Mayes of Ingalls, George (wife, Charlotte) Hudson, Jr. of Kokomo, and Gary (wife, Teresa) Hudson of Lapel; two brothers, Neal Hudson of Warington, and Billie Jo Hudson of Frankton; one sister, Grace Castor of Anderson; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, whom he married Januray 10, 1956, Barbara J. (Adams) Hudson in 1994; a daughter, Gracile Glazebrook in 1996; and two brothers.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Lapel where the Lapel American Legion Post 212 will perform military graveside rites. Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
