It is believed that he died iof a heart attack in his home on South fifth Street in Rogers anter more of a year in failing health. He was born in Garfield and moved to Rogers several years before his death. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church. J. W. Bryant was in charge of the funeral arrangements. He was survived by his widow, sons Arch of Bright Water, and Earl of rogers. One daughter, Mrs. Bryce Woods, who lived near Rogers, also survived him.
Distant relatives include George Wilhoit of Springfield, Missouri, and Guy Wilhoit of Tulsa.
