Mr. Marshall B. BARBER, who lived in the Greenville Heights section of the city, died at 12:15 o'clock after a long illness from general declining health, following several strokes of paralysis.
Mr. BARBER was 54 years old at the time of his death, and had been a life-long resident of Pitt county.
He was survived at the time of his death by his wife, who was Miss Missouri SLADE, one brother, Mr. J. S. BARBER of Winterville, and four children as follows: Charles M. BARBER, James BARBER, and Misses Pearl BARBER and Lottie BARBER.
The funeral service was held at Reedy Branch church and interment was made in the cemetery there. The services was in charge of the Winterville Order of Red Men.
