Katherine, often spelled Catherine, immigrated from Germany about 1854. The word from the family is she met Augustus Fisher on the boat over. They married shortly after and settled in Ontario Canada. About 1898, Augustus and Katherine moved to Tacoma Washington. They took with them several of their adult children and grandchildren.
