Harold A. Moyer, 57, Sixth Street, Port Royal, died at 11:30 a.m. on Friday [14 Nov 1980] in Milford Township, Juniata County, as a result of a truck accident.

Born on Novermber 29, 1922, in Port Royal, he was the son of the late Lester S. and Sarah P. Swartz Moyer. He is survived by his wife, the former Myrtle Kline.

Also surviving are a son, Joseph L. Moyer, Hummelstown, four sisters, Mrs Clarence (Harriet) Nace, Middlintown RD3, Mrs. Mary Wooding, McVeytown, Mrs Margaretta Billman, Herndon, and Mrs. Henry (Martha) Compton, South Haven, Mich.; two brothers, William L. Moyer, Thompsontown RD1, and Paul S. Moyer, Mifflintown RD3, and one grandchild.

Mr. Moyer was a livestock dealer and a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army.

He was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church and Union Lodge 324 of the Free and Accepted Masons of Mifflintown.

He was also a member of the Belleville Livestock Association, the Pennsylvania Farmers Association and the Friendship Fire Company of Port Royal.

Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with Rev. Dr. Robert W. Suder officiating. Burial will be in the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal. Teh family will receive friends on Sunday form 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
