CLIFFORD "MIKE" ADAMS
Graveside services were March 14 in Pleasant View Cemetery, Oskaloosa, for Clifford "Mike" Adams, 75, Oskaloosa. He died March 11, 1990, at a Kansas City, Kan., hospital.
Mr. Adams was an operating engineer for the Bendix Corp., 11 years before he retired in 1972. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was born Jan. 19, 1915, in Topeka, the son of John and Artamissa Phillips Adams. He moved from Kansas City, Kan., to Oskaloosa in 1978.
Mr. Adams was a member of Local No. 101 of the Hoisting Engineers Union in Kansas City.
He was married to Berniece Thomas Dec. 11, 1936, in Kansas City, Kan. She died Nov. 30, 1980.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Sue Hamm, Oskaloosa; a son, John S. Adams, Blue Springs, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Hampton-Barrett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa, was in charge of arrangements.
