Helen Louise Bilhorn died June 28, 1995 in Crete at the age of 89.

She was born September 29, 1905 in Crawford County, Ohio. Her mother died at an early age, and she was raised by her father and their housekeeper. She worked as a sales clerk at J.M. McDonald in Crete. She was interested in antiques. She married Walter Bilhorn on June 10, 1926. Walter was a longtime postal employee. They made their home in Crete and both moved into the Crete Manor in 1984.

She is survived by her husband, Walter; brother, John Kraus of North Platte; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Adolph Kraus.

Funeral services were held July 1 at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Myron Pleskac officiating. Organist was Teresa Cochnar. Interment was in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. The rosary was June 30 with Father William Murphy officiating.

Pallbearers were John Bals, Leonard Bals, Dennis Kattau, Ben McDowell Jr., Larry Shestak, and Henry Bals, Jr.
