Son of Elisha Ackerly and Mary Ann Mitchell, husband of Jessie Mitchell Moger and father of Jerome Woodford and Leroy Mitchell Ackerly.

Obituary - George Mitchell Ackerly of Patchogue, died suddenly Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock of paralysis. He was 61 years of age and a much respected and prominent business mac of Patchogue. Deceased Was a brother of the late Clifford B. Ackerly of this village. Mr. Ackerly leaves a widow and two sons, Jerome W. Ackerly and LeRoy M. Ackerly. Funeral services are to be at his late residence tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock.

Also - George M. Ackerly, who until his retirement has been connected with the piano trade for twenty-three years died at his home in Patchogue, L.I. November 22nd in his sixty-first year. He was one of the prominent merchants of that place, and highly esteemed by a wide circle of friends far and near. A widow and two sons LeRoy M. and Jerome W. survived him. Jerome continued his father's business.
