JAMES ELBERT LEGG
Services for James Elbert Legg, 64, of Dallas, a former Des Moines Resident, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Legg, a Kirksville, Mo., native, died of leukemia Tuesday at Veteran's Hospital after a two-year illness.
He lived in Des Moines 50 years, and in Dallas six years. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Mr. Legg is survived by his wife, Violet; a daughter, Evelyn of Dallas; three sons, James, Jr., and David, both of Dallas, and William of Mount Pleasant; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Bystrom of Pleasantville and Mrs. Letha Hiyde of Emmett, Idaho, and two brothers, Alva and Luther, both of Des Moines.
