Laura “June” Bang, 89, formerly of Hager City, Wisconsin, died Friday, March 1, 2019, at the Legacy Place Assisted Living Home, in Sauk Rapids, MN. She was born October 6, 1929, in Faribault, MN to Ed and Laura (Stam) Cross. She graduated from Faribault High School. On June 6, 1956, she was united in marriage to Donald Bang and together they farmed their entire lives on Donald’s family farm in Hager City. Donald died on January 9, 2016. Shortly after Donald’s death, Laura moved to Sauk Rapids to be near her son. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Red Wing where she was an active member of circle and taught Sunday school for many years. June enjoyed baking, walking, crocheting, and spending time with her granddaughters.She is survived by her sons, Tom Bang of LaHabra, California and Tim (Anne) Bang of Sartell; granddaughters, Katherine (Daryn) Strand and Caroline; and great granddaughter Sophie Strand; and siblings, Iola, Richard, Harry, and Peg.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; and sisters, Viola and Rosella.A graveside service is planned for spring with burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
