Funeral services for Alton Ray Crager, 83, of Kurthwood, Louisiana were Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Sunny Hill Baptist Church in Kurthwood, Rev. Mildard Monk officiated. Burial followed in the Silver Creek Cemetery.
Alton, the son of Louie Sanders and Lucille Anderson Crager was born February 3, 1929, in Leesville, Louisiana He passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012, in Alexandria, Louisiana.
He worked for the Vernon Parish Policy Jury as a road grader and a mechanic. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and the United State Air Force. He was a member of Sunny Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years of Kurthwood; son of Decatur, TN; two daughters; step-son & wife of Leesville; step-daughter & husband of Leesville; two brothers; sister of Ashland KY; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
