Illa Marie Deardorff, 93, of Winterset died of a heart ailment June 4, 2000, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, June 7) at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Winterset with Pastor Steve Koch officiating. Burial will be at Lorimor Cemetery.

Marie Deardorff was born Nov. 23, 1906 in Clarke County to William Lorraine and Liva Ann (Young) Foreman. She married James Ray Anderson on June 18, 1924, in Winterset. She later married E. S. Deardorff on Jan. 3, 1960, in Winterset. A homemaker, Marie resided for most of her life in Madison County. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, her second husband, two sons, a daughter, two brothers and a sister.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Ruth Anderson of Lorimor; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to her family.
