David Lloyd Snyder, 71, of Parkersburg, former Baptist minister, died Sunday night at his residence. He was born at Creston, Jan. 23, 1901, son of the late George and Mary Wix Snyder. He had been a Baptist minister in Calhoun, Wirt and Gilmer counties, and had been a member of Baptist Gospel Temple. He had also been employed by American Viscose Div. FMC Corp. for 28 years.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rosa May Villers Snyder; one daughter, Mrs. Betty June Burchard of Middletown, Conn.; two foster-sons, Dwayne Mace with the U.S. Marines on Guam, and Dwight Mace of Parkersburg; three brothers, Sherman and Glenn Snyder, both of Creston, and Hollie Snyder of Parkersburg; one sister, Mrs. Opal Smith of Munday; two granddaughters, Vickie June Burchard and Melinda Jo Burchard, both of Middletown, Conn.; and two foster-grandchildren, Mark and Melissa Mace, both of Parkersburg.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Vaughan Funeral Home. The Rev. R. L. Phillips officiated and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
