Born Sept. 13, 1924 at Atlas, he was the son of Harvey Ray Forgy and Ina Mabel Daniels Forgy. He first married Estalene Clendenny. Later he married June Gunlock who prededed him in death.
Survivors include a son, Carroll Gene Forgy of rural New Canton; a stepson, David Festler of rural Camp Point; a daughter, Karen Lippincott of Pleasant Hill; a stepdaughter, Vickie Scranton of Pleasant Hill; six grandsons; one great-granddaughter; one step-grandson and one step-granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
The Rev. Wayne Carrigan will conduct a graveside service at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Miller Cemetery north of Atlas. Friends are invited to attend this service. Ward-Lummis Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Memorials may be given to the Pleasant Hill Nursing Center Activity Fund.
