Leona Smith
Leona Smith, 86, of Marshfield, passed away at 10:05 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, in Christian Health Care East in Springfield. Leona was a housewife and a lifelong Webster County resident. She was also a member the Ebenezer Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Detherow and Ollie Jane (Muse) Detherow; her husband, Marvin; a step-daughter, Carolyn Johnson; a step-son, John Smith; and a brother, Murrel Detherow.
Survivors include four daughters, Roberta Taylor and her husband, Richard, of Cabool; Martha Faught and her husband, Gene, of Strafford; Rodella Massey and her husband, Darrell, of Phillipsburg; and Shirley, of Jefferson City; a son, Boyed Clemens and his wife, Janice, of Aurora, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Arlene Brixey and her husband, Walter, of Marshfield; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchild; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 28, 200, in Fraker Funeral Home in Marshfield, with the Rev. Jim Downing officiating. Burial was in the Marshfield Cemetery in Marshfield.
