Jack William Comstock
A fire in a downtown Chicago hotel room claimed the life of former Cedar Rapids resident Jack Comstock Sunday. Firemen said the fire may have resulted from the careless use of smoking materials.
Jack William Comstock was born September 4, 1914, in Cedar Rapids.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Blanche Comstock of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Westenburg, of Sun city, Ariz.; two sons, Michael of Potsdam, N. Y., and George of Winter Park, Fla., and two daughters, Mrs. Julius Berreth, Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Mrs. Ira Vance, Charlestown, W. Va.
Memorial services will be held in Turner Chapel east at a time to be announced later.
