STORTER, James Michael 45, of Plant City, went home to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 21, 2012. He attended the University of Florida where he met his wife, Laura. He graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education. After getting married in 1991, he continued his education at Southwestern Theological Seminary and received his master's in Religious Education in 1993. Mike and Laura returned to Plant City where he became a ministerial intern at Plant City's First Baptist Church. Mike served as a Pastor at PCFBC. He went on to earn a master's in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida, taught in Eastern Hillsborough County. He worked at Marshall Middle School and Plant City High School, where he became the head of the Physical Education Departments at both schools. Survived by his wife, Laura; daughters, Taryn Marie, Hope Alyse; parents, James and Alvarene; brothers, Jamie (Terri), Duke (Jennifer); and loving family. A Celebration of Life will be May 25, 5 pm at Plant City's First Baptist Church, 503 N. Palmer St., visitation 4 pm and at the conclusion of the services. Private interment at Hopewell Memorial Gardens, Plant City. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Plant City's First Baptist Church Building Fund and/or Coach Storter PCHS Scholarship Fund, c/o Hillsboro Bank, 509 W.
