He married Luella Lamphere (ca. 1847-1885) on Sep. 7, 1865, in Canaan, VT. — Children: Alice Jane "Jennie" Bigelow/Fox (1867-1924), Ellsworth E. (1873-1955), Ida Luella Weeks (1876-1954), also 7 unnamed children that died as infants.
He married Cora Lulie (Ainsworth) Whitehill on Oct. 13, 1885, in Groton, VT. — Children: William Charles (1886-1967), Ernest Elbridge (1888-1957), Frank Merton (1890-1976), Leslie Orwell (1894-1949), Allen Walter (1896-1966), also 2 stepsons.
