Born Aug. 1, 1926, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Charles and Rosa Eisele. She married William Stevens Jr. Jan. 29, 1949, and he preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a long-time member of St. John's Episcopal Church singing in the choir for several years. Order of the Eastern Star No.129. She was also a member and officer of Tarum Shrine in Bedford.
Survivors include one son Ronald Stevens and his wife Brenda of Mitchell, one daughter Judy A. Shaff and two grandsons William L. Shaff and his wife Michelle, and Jeremy D. Shaff and his wife Julie, all of Mitchell, and three great-granddaughters, Olivia, Emma, and Lauren Shaff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister Helen Eisele.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10a.m. on Wed. June 11, at St. John's Episcoal Church in Bedford. Burial will folloe in Cresthaven Memeroy Friends may call from 2-8p.m. Tuesday at Day & Carter Mortuary. An Eastern Star Memorial will be conducted at 7p.m. Tuesday evening at the mortuary.
